Illinois
|
When you name your band "Illinois," you definitely can't lean on Google to drive traffic to your site. This small indie band probably isn't in the first few hundred search pages. But luckily, Illinois have some pretty good songs to make up for their publicity problems. Illinois aren't even from that great state... they're from Pennsylvania (perhaps they are just really big Dee Brown fans). They like to play banjo-heavy songs seemingly meant to be sung around a raucous campfire.
They get all stompy and hootenanny-esque most of the time, but sometimes, when they're feeling more mellow, they'll sing lyrics like, "When you love something, let it go." They put on a great show at Southpaw last year (heck, I even scored one of their t-shirts) and seem to have great upside... just like Dee Brown. What can Brown and Illinois do for you? |
